Grade 5 Science: built, checked and live

Status: 9 October 2026, night. Every topic is live with its lessons, quizzes, mastery banks, pictures and videos in hand or landing. The four strand tests and the end-of-grade test are written fresh, examined and read cold. Three cards wait for you; nothing else does.

What you asked for this morning, and where it stands

You wrote: "you can now go ahead and complete grade 5, including all videos & quizzes (if anything you think really needs me to rule on, you can create a page for it — though try and limit it to the top ten most important rulings)."

The three cards for you

  1. The newton (Topic 3's Needs-you page): no state standard requires measuring a force at Grade 5, but TEKS names the spring scale as a Grade 5 tool and Florida tells its item writers to use newtons. My recommendation: draw the spring scale and coin the newton in one told sentence, recognition only.
  2. The strand-test pass mark (Grade 5 tests page): 26 or 27 of 30. One ruling settles Grade 3's open question too. My recommendation: 26.
  3. The end-of-grade pass mark (same page): 43 of 47 is the first whole score at or above your 90 per cent. My recommendation: 43.

Next, without you

The pipeline's re-feed and edits land through tomorrow; the ledger refreshes as they do. The TimeBack export of the tests follows the PP100 banks' route once the pass marks are ruled. The recall bank waits for a platform answer on how spaced retrieval reaches a student, raised with the hand-over, not a card.
