Topic 4 "Magnets" — your read (28 September 2026, night)
Three lessons, no word "force" (Topic 5 coins it), written without a blueprint stage and read by the author as you before a non-author review (18 findings applied) and two cold reads (52 of 54 then 58 of 58 keys; the two first-round misses were video-dependent gate questions, by design). Reply by number.
Rulings you have already given are applied without asking: hard PP100 items are typed, not MCQs (your 28 Sep night ruling); every easy and medium bank item is a four-option MCQ; no option bundles a verdict with its reason; every stem is a positive question; the magnet's steel object is never cutlery.
New tonight — the hard end of the bank is typed
1. Do these typed hard types work for you? After your ruling that hard PP100 items are text entry, the sheet's one hard type (a named student's claim) now asks the student to TYPE the counterexample instead of picking it from four happenings. Easy and medium types stay four-option MCQs and are the bulk; there is no numeric type because this topic has nothing to count or read off a scale.
The exemplar (FOR3-023): Nora says a magnet pulls everything made of metal. Type the name of one metal that stays where it is when a magnet comes close. → aluminum (also accepted: the can and foil forms with or without "a" / "the", and copper, gold, silver, brass, tin as true answers a child may know).
The same type's second claim (FOR3-024), for the generator: Mia says two magnets always stick together. Type what else two magnets can do when they come close. → push apart (also "they push apart", "push each other away" and the like).
One call for you: accept copper, gold, silver, brass and tin as true, or accept only the lesson's word, aluminum?

2. Do the seven question types stand? Built from the lessons' own forms with four options on the easy and medium types; the coverage table shows every atom alone and in a pair. The earlier flag on the hard item's negative stem ("shows that Nora is wrong") is gone: the typed stem is positive.

3. L01 A magnet pulls steel without touching — the steel paperclip rises to the magnet; the plastic paperclip of the same shape and the aluminum can of the same shape do not (the "magnets pull any metal" misconception gets its honest minimal pair). Article · script · quiz Fine / say where
4. L02 Two magnets pull together or push apart — both without touching; turn one around and pull changes to push; a turned magnet still pulls a nail. The drawn magnet is red-and-blue only so "turned around" is visible; nothing is said about the colours (poles are Grade 4), and every picture obeys one convention: unlike colours facing = pull. 5. L03 Use a magnet to solve a problem — two questions: what must the magnet pull, and where must it go? Worked on a cupboard door (add a steel plate), then pins on a carpet, toy train cars, and a plastic button a magnet cannot help. Article · quiz Fine / say where
