Topic 6 "Forces that touch, and forces that don't" — your read (28 September 2026, night)
Three lessons; "force" is used (Topic 5 coins it), "non-contact" and "static" are not. Read by the author as you, then a non-author review (19 findings applied) and two cold reads (58 of 58, then every key defended). Reply by number.
The one that unblocks the bank
1. Do these typed hard types work for you? Your 28 Sep night ruling is applied without asking: the bank's hard items are now text entry, not MCQs; easy and medium stay four-option MCQs and are the bulk. The old hard type (Elias's claim judged against four happenings) is withdrawn, because a claim judged is DOK 3 and cannot sit in the bank as an MCQ now; the practice set's Freya item still carries the topic's claim. Two exemplars on the one typed type — the stem never names the puller, the student types it in the lesson's words:
- A ripe plum comes loose from a tree and falls to the grass. Nothing touches the plum on its way down. What pulls the plum down? — accepts Earth's pull / Earth / the Earth / the Earth's pull / Earths pull / the Earths pull / Earth pulls it / Earth pulls it down / the pull of Earth / the pull of the Earth. "Gravity" is not accepted: the course's word for the force is Earth's pull, and a miss shows "The answer we were looking for: Earth's pull".
- Elias holds something just above a steel nut, and the nut jumps up to it. Nothing touched the nut. What is Elias holding? — accepts a magnet / magnet / the magnet / a bar magnet / his magnet.
Recommendation: approve both; the bank's hard slot (at most eight of about fifty) is generated from this type on fresh falling things and fresh steel things. Approve both / accept "gravity" too / strike the nut item / say what else
