Topic 12 "Sound" — your read (28 September 2026, night)

Three lessons: every sound is made by something vibrating; you hear a sound because the vibration travels through the air to your ear; the farther a thing is from the sound, the less it shakes. One coined word, the atom's own (vibrating), after "shakes back and forth, very fast". Sound carries energy and is never a form of it. Read by the author as you, then a non-author review (31 of 32 findings applied) and two cold reads (55 of 55, then 41 of 41 on the changed items). Reply by number.

The one that unblocks the bank

1. Does the typed hard type work for you? Your night ruling is applied without asking: the bank's hard items are text entry, not MCQs; easy and medium stay four-option MCQs and are the bulk. The one hard type chains two ideas and asks for the outcome in one or two words:

• Naomi bangs a gong, and across the hall Oren hears it ring. Then Naomi grabs the gong with both hands and keeps holding it still. What does Oren hear now? — accepts nothing / no sound / no ringing / no noise / silence / quiet / not a sound / no more ringing, each with or without "he hears", and "it is quiet". Hard because a child must chain "held still → not vibrating → no sound" with "what he hears is the vibration that travelled through the air", then produce the answer.
• "It gets quieter" and "it fades" are refused: the gong is held still, so it is not vibrating and makes no sound — the lesson's own line is "The shaking stops. The sound stops too."

Recommendation: approve; the bank's hard slot (at most eight of about fifty) is generated from this form on fresh sounding things held still. Approve / accept "quieter" too / say what else

2. Do the five question types stand? Six exemplars on five types, coverage table with no empty row; type 4 pairs distance with the vibration travelling through the air (three jars at J, K, L from a drum, drawn); type 5 above pairs vibration with hearing. 6. One sentence to confirm once Topic 11 lands.
